Movie review: I am the fourth place (2011)

If you have enjoyed a steady diet of twilight movies, superhero movies and science fiction TV shows, you like I am number four. But probably not. The film is based on the novel book of the same name, is almost entirely by other related substances, leave permanently absent entity derived individuality. The most confusing problem is that twilight the high school romance is better, the comic book movies to the action treat with more finesse and television characters less cardboard. If this is number four, I am only grateful, we had to wallow through one, two and three.

After only nine is besieged with their homeworld of Lorien of Mogadorians, a ruthless race of alien invaders, gifted young people on the ground to escape and are waiting for their fate. John (Alex Pettyfer) is such a survivor who, together with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant), on the escape to avoid, is found, by the Mogadorians constantly remain must. After learning of the murder of an other Lorien, John and Henri's head after paradise, Ohio, where they hope that was low and discover a way to, contact with the remaining allies. When Sarah (Dianna Agron), a pretty photographer at his high school, John in in love, he decides to stay and fight, rather than continue running - a decision which is him against a relentless team of brutal alien executioner pit.

Sometimes (although rarely) mediocre dialogue in the presence of large action can be awarded. Unfortunately I am number four neither. Direction conversation, if not the actual exchanges can probably guess, before anyone has spoken and often in an episode of Scooby-Doo, rivals found the revelations. The dialogue drifts into extremely difficult area on a number of occasions and can not handle realism, if the talks are to be clumsy. Friendships, his father's guidance, antagonistic threats and confessions of love felt never so lame.

Perhaps even less frequently but humdrum dialogue can be dismissed if of the interesting characters and inspiring demeanors. Nothing here. John's defense should it attempt, mix and invisible. He succeeds, but not that the audience the disservice. Sarah gives a probably pretty face, but certainly no more, and Timothy Olyphant Henri tried very hard, but could not overcome the boredom of the script. The otherworldly rogues are perhaps the most cringe worthy, spit speeches too much before killing their victims to commit broken English about harsh alien speech and the cardinal.

A few interesting shots during the battle making a occurs, although its appearance disappears their ingenuity quickly under the sloppy special effects and the behemoth animals, the Lovechild a flying squirrel and the Cloverfield Monster. If inexplicably powerful young people, huge sugar glider creatures and hokey glowing flashlight hands are your cup of tea, is this up for you.
