Movie review: The Secretariat - unforgettable to

The big problem that plagues the Secretariat (based on the novel "Secretariat: the making of a champion" by William NACK) is that sometimes real life incidents for very boring can make films. Directed by Randall Wallace, the Secretariat is based on the story of a horse that was no one to win a chance that might is the stuff the three major races in the United States, are the dreams of, but it is simply not exciting enough for a film.

The Secretariat history

It is the beginning of the 1970s and Penny Tweedy (Diane Lane) is a happily married housewife with four children, a man and a nice house, but her life changes gears if it is over the death of her mother know. View of her father, who decides half-man after the death of his wife seems to be back on the stud things remain properly set penny. Her father daughter, penny solves the farm manager for underhand dealing and hires Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich) their valuable possessions, to train the Secretariat. Against the better judgment of every penny coming you Lucien and Miss ham, her father's trusted Secretary, together, to promote a horse that goes on to win the first triple Crown in years.

Apart from the excellent detail of the period, the Secretariat is told like a bedtime story as a fable said. The commitment to authenticity overrides the narrative and the whole film is predictable to death. Diane Lane slips into the mother of four penny Chenary Tweedy with such ease and grace that it is a pleasure to see them. After a while you start questions whether this was the same actor who was seduced by Olivier Martinez in the unfaithful. Malkovich, on the other hand makes alive some scenes, but this is such a let down of a role, because one of the greatest players of all time, that he is not interested in looks.

Last words the Secretariat
Dell on the heels of Seabiscuit, there to cause much of a chance to the Secretariat. Although not completely but Secretariat captivates the audience at some points. The truth about fiction is, no matter how exciting the facts, that which it unfortunately takes a certain drama, it make even better than the real thing.
