Movie review: No strings attached (2011)

Natalie Portman decided immediately after the success of the Black Swan, her Golden Globe best actress win, an inevitable Oscar nomination and worldwide critical acclaim with Ashton Kutcher in a raunchy sex comedy/drama star. The fact not this renowned filmmaker, who was attached to Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters, meatballs), direct give legitimacy to the project, because it was financed by Portman's production company. It seems that the popular star tried to shed her "good girl" image. In spite of their role in the professional and their risky appearances in v vendetta and closer, you can run not by the Queen Amidala part. She removed strip more clothing for no strings attached, but the same level of nothing as usual - shows your blatant maybe "no nudity clause" is one of the reasons, they cannot escape their past. You can only hope that this film not the same devastating effect Norbit on Eddie Murphy shot at a 2006 Academy Award (for Dreamgirls had) have.

Adam Franklin (Ashton Kutcher) and Emma Kurtzman (Natalie Portman) was always a little weird outcasts in their own minds as a teenager when they first met at a camp. Years pass, and they continue to meet at random, because they will realize that they have an undeniable still nameless attraction towards others. If Adams father (Kevin Kline), Vanessa (Ophelia Lovibond), a sexy young woman that is solved only with Adam, to this day which gets understandably angry drunk everyone son in his phone, until someone agrees, to sleep with him. He awakes the next morning naked, in the apartment of Emma and with no memory of events of the previous night.

This leads to a "friends with benefits" scenario in which Emma would have only a physical relationship with Adam. And she has no fear to speak minded with blatant definitions, clear, open and confident about their affair. His friends Eli (Jake Johnson) and Wallace (Ludacris) think him gold, but he realized Adam is falling in love with Emma, an unattainable girl thanks to Daddy issues and their seemingly all-consuming, intellectual work as a doctor in training. Cary Elwes receives fourth billing with an almost wordless cameo, Lake Bell presents a possible love triangle, and Ben Lawson is a potential rival with just a single scene to support this term – just about every role relief is badly written and thrown for a pitiful comic.

Unfortunately, no strings attached is only an average raunchy sex comedy, likeable characters, plausibility and General Funniness is missing. No scene is outrageous, no performance is shocking and no line of dialogue is lachen-Out-loud hilarious. Portman appears as was an unlikely candidate for this kind of matter which is likely what they expect, but it does not help her shamelessly fails while romantic chemistry and delivery of uncomfortable dialogue. "Just wrong, felt that" mumbles Adam, as he pulls reluctantly from the cuddling with Emma, the problem with no strings attached by accidental, unrelated words pegging. Much of the film together is compiled as a series of simple jokes built with scenes of establishing them. It is pointless love story, exactly as expected starting a fake, cumbersome, and ends with the same degree of surprise-free mild.
